So it’s official, host Robert Halley is nomadic. After just one QuestHands interview and a few weeks at home in Canada, opportunity knocked and his adventurous Spirit answered the call. This weeks episode features a fellow performing artist who Robert just met a few days ago in rehearsals. They will be in different productions and just overlapped for a few days, which made this rendezvous that much more special.
Megan Heaps is a singer from Utah, who has the warmest heart. She is a gentle, kind, positive person who's giggles and smiles are contagious. She speaks with a confident yet humble nature which invites others to gather by her side. Great qualities for a teacher, which is also one of her roles in life.
It is wonderful when the dynamics between Robert and the guest mesh harmoniously, however it is never the intention to meet always on the same page. This episode however was quite a gracious dance of gentle beings with similar values sharing a moment of timeless introspection, and lots of laughter too!
Megan had quite a few powerful quotes she referenced. Such as:
Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.
-C. S. Lewis
"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."
- Jack London
"And I want to separate courage and bravery for you for a minute. Courage, the original definition of courage, when it first came into the English language -- it's from the Latin word "cor," meaning "heart" -- and the original definition was to tell the story of who you are with your whole heart."
- Brene Brown

Megan also shared a powerful website which her friends started and links to her values. It is called Fight The New Drug, which has a lot of information on the harmful effects of pornography towards one’s wellbeing and how it is killing true love.
The theme of this 'WeeklyQuest' was HEALTH. To unplug and not use technology for the first hour and last hour of your day. No only will you get things done, but you will grasp the bigger picture of who you are and what the day will be or was about. It is so healthy to be present without distractions in leading a conscious empowered life. We are humans not robots, let’s remember that.
